Fall 2024 - Spring 2025
Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, Maya
This project was completed in one semester for my Virtual Environments 1 class at UTD, as a Teaching Assistant.
Main assets and textures were created by me - decals and some small props were attained via Quixel Bridge. This was Modeled in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Unreal Engine 4. Architectural structures are modular and can be repeated across the environment. Assets are low poly, game-ready models.

This is the result of my efforts after modeling and texturing. However, after getting here, I decided to try and relight the scene for more visual clarity.
I first reduced the number of colors present in the scene down to one main color and one secondary color. This approach helped to get some clarity back into the scene. However it still felt a little harsh.

In order to solve this, I reduced the intensity of lights and learned to create rim lighting on objects that required some definition. To combat the overall darkness, I filled in the area with a large low intensity light.
